cúlü   ['kulu] n. root vegetable native to the mërèchi continent

The mërèchi cúlü is similar to our parsnips, which they call cúlü apatívi "foreign cúlü". They also think of carrots as a type of cúlü, cúlü càli or "red cúlü".

Examples:

cúlüc càli jàni lómbasav'da, ní cúlünic fúi döshërükidàv'da ne döccípav'da: You can eat carrots raw, but you must cook or boil the white cúlün (collective plural of cúlü, so something like "varieties of cúlü").
