Third of four tastebud words (the mërèchi don't appear to have a separate word for umami), chàri refers to bitter tastes.
Examples:
pëàman lielúcür hlífia'c chàri hlíp'të: People across the ocean drink a bitter drink.
kàshanic chàri ka'lòhlbav'da: Don't eat bitter nuts.
