Occasional Word in Merechi: püài

püài  [PU 'A I] [pu'ai] adj. sour (to the taste).

Returning to the taste words after an uncheduled blog hiatus, the fourth and final tastebud word is püài, sour.


Examples:

éshirë kúshi të püài týllirisöp'n: A sweet and sour fruit is the best.

    My favorite. I'd tell you what it is in Kelen, but apparently these words never made it into my dictionary. :-(
